Finally
Yes finally a retro rpg platformer that's amazing.
The plot is interesting but nothing really pushes you to play besides getting better armor and weapons. They need to add a variety of classes such as an archer and Mage. With just a warrior class and only swords to buy it gets just a little dull. Some ranged action would be great. The whole hold down a button to attack is ok with me but also gets to be dull around lvl 15. I'm currently lvl 20 and the random dungeon generator is awesome and the monsters you fight are pretty cool. Wish there were mini bosses as well. All in all for 99 cents this pretty much my favorite retro dungeon crawler. The controls are so well done I could cry. Thanks ravenous games and please bring a ranged class into the picture to get 5 stars.

Great game... but lacking a bit
I played and thoroughly enjoyed the game Random Heroes (made by the same company as this game) my biggest issue with that was that it lacked replay value. This does a great job of dealing with this problem by making randomly generated, suprisingly difficult levels. However Random Heroes offered its whole weapon market right away and had better possibilities. In this game you have to buy each weapon consecutively to unlock new ones. Also the stat differences are minimal in this game. In Random Heroes weapon stats were marginally different offering different play styles. Basically I'm saying that this game is great but you need to work on the in-game markets.

Could be great
This game has a random map generator and allows you to buy weapons armor and pendants but much more is needed. Throughout the whole game you get a three hit combo and that is the only form of attack there is no magic, weapons stay the same they only look different throughout the game, there are no other hero types (wizard, archer, thief etc.)also in order to buy a weapon you have to buy the previous one, so there is no grinding until you can afford that one you fancy, you have to buy the ten before it (seems to try to force IAP). These factors combine to make an extremely repetitive game early on. This game is worth the 99 but, there are better dungeon crawlers out there. If you don't mind the repetitive gameplay try it, or spend the cash on something better like a cheese burger from mcd0nalds
